Zelensky warns about dangerous consequences of disruption of agricultural exports from Ukraine

KYIV. April 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) - There is a risk of an international food crisis over the disruption of the export of Ukrainian agricultural products due to the situation in the country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

In his video address to Irish parliamentarians, Zelensky said the destruction of agricultural enterprises, fuel bases and the blockade of sea ports are obstructing Ukrainian agricultural exports.

"Without our exports, it's not just shortage, but a threat of hunger for more than a dozen countries in Africa and Asia. Because product volumes will physically not be enough and the prices will increase considerably," Zelensky said.

The food crisis will cause "at least political turbulences," he said. "At the most, there will be outbreaks of violence in regions where instability is already becoming traditional, and a new massive flow of refugees, just to survive," the Ukrainian president said.
