Russian govt to support tourism, construction, forestry sectors

MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - The Russian government's latest package of measures to support the economy in the face of sanctions will address the tourism, construction and forestry industries and a number of other sectors, and it provides for tax incentives, Federation Council Deputy Speaker Nikolai Zhuravlev said.

Support will also be provided to manufacturers of electronics and automobile components, he said in a statement on his Telegram channel.

"The issue of easing administrative procedures in the area of construction, liability for businesses and working out new logistics chains is being discussed further. We expect that already existing measures and those that will be passed in the near future will enable businesses to quickly adapt to the new economic reality and in general support the stability of industries and sectors of the Russian economy," Zhuravlev said.

Zhuravlev represents United Russia on the government commission for increasing the stability of the Russian economy amid sanctions.
