Shift to ruble payments for Russian export commodities to be phased - Peskov
MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - Russia will not hurry while switching to ruble payments for its export commodities, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Actually, no one is in a rush here. This is a very phased and very careful process developed with due account of the financial and economic realities that exist in global markets," Peskov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
"Obviously, there is no place for any abrupt moves in this area. The work should be absolutely well thought out, systematic and carefully calibrated. It's impossible to act in any other way," Peskov said.
