Pontiff's visit to Ukraine would be historic under these circumstances - Head of presidential office

KYIV. Apr 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) - A visit of Pope of Rome Francis to Ukraine would be historic under these circumstances, head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andriy Yermak said in a marathon on Ukrainian television.

"We know that this decision [a visit to Ukraine] is on the table. The Pope has officially made this public," Yermak said.

"It would be a historic visit; this has paramount importance for us," he said.
