Covid-19 incidence rate in Russia down by 25% over past week, grew in 3 regions - coronavirus response HQ
MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - The incidence rate of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population in Russia declined by more than 25% last week compared to the previous week, and the incidence of related hospitalizations declined in the same period by 19.9%, the coronavirus operative response headquarters said on Monday.
"The incidence rate of the novel coronavirus infection cases per 100,000 population amounted to 87.4 last week, down by 25.6% from the previous week. The incidence rate increased in three federal entities of Russia, including an increase higher than the national average in two regions," it said.
The incidence of hospitalizations per 100,000 population last week was 16.4, down by 19.9% compared to the previous week. The number of hospitalizations per 100,000 people grew in eight federal entities, including an increase higher than the national average in four regions, it said.
