Chernobyl NPP operating in routine mode - director

KYIV. April 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) - All the equipment and all radiation control and monitoring systems at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) are operating as planned, the Ukrainian state NPP operator Energoatom reported with reference to Chernobyl NPP Director Valeriy Seida.

Both the Shelter Structure (sarcophagus) and the spent nuclear fuel storage facilities at the NPP are operating in routine mode, Energoatom said on Telegram on Friday, quoting Seida as saying.

All the Russian service members "had left the plant and its territory before 8:00 p.m. March 31," he said.
