UK imposes sanctions on Gazprom Media head Zharov, National Defense Control Center head Mizintsev, journalist Brilev

LONDON. March 31 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom has expanded sanctions against Russia with Gazprom Media Holding head Alexander Zharov, head of the National Defense Control Center Mikhail Mizintsev, and journalist Sergei Brilev.

The sanctions will also apply to Anton Anisimov, head of the Sputnik news agency's international broadcasting, and RT general director Alexei Nikolov. In all, the sanctions will apply to 12 persons.

Their assets will be frozen and they will be prohibited from travelling to the UK.

The Rossiya Segodnya news agency is also under restrictions.
