Azerbaijan, Armenia should sign peace agreement as soon as possible - Aliyev

BAKU. March 31 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has confirmed a meeting he will have with European Council President Charles Michel and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels on April 6.

He said that a peace agreement with Armenia should be signed as soon as possible.

"The EU has announced that my next meeting with the Armenian prime minister will take place [in Brussels on April 6] at the initiative of President Michel. Hopefully, the meeting will be fruitful," Aliyev said at a meeting with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau in Baku on Thursday.

"A number of meetings have taken place, and we should advance towards signing a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and sign this document as fast as we can, in the near future. Azerbaijan has presented its principles based on its vision," Aliyev said.
