Kremlin concerned about Washington's lack of understanding of Russian decision-making mechanism - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - U.S. officials have no idea of what is really going on in the Kremlin and how decisions are made there, which may have bad consequences and lead to erroneous decisions of the United States, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"This is a source of our concern. It looks like neither the Department of State nor the Pentagon know what is really happening in the Kremlin. They simply do not understand what is going on in the Kremlin. They do not understand President [Vladimir] Putin. They do not understand the decision-making mechanism. They do not understand our workstyle," Peskov said at a press conference on Thursday.

He thus commented on recent statements by U.S. representatives who said that Putin was not receiving complete information about the special operation in Ukraine and felt misled.

"We do not just regret this. This is a source of our concern. Because such an utter lack of understanding is the reason why erroneous, rash decisions are made with very bad consequences," he said.
