Pashinyan confirms preparations for meeting with Aliyev in Brussels on Apr 6

YEREVAN. March 31 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed preparations for his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on April 6.

"I am due to meet with European Council President Charles Michel and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussel on April 6. I am hoping to discuss with the Azerbaijani president and to coordinate every issue related to the launch of negotiations on a peace agreement at this meeting," Pashinyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.

Armenia is ready to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, Pashinyan said. "Armenia is ready for the instantaneous beginning of peace talks," he said.

It was reported on the Council of the European Union's website on Wednesday that Michel, Pashinyan and Aliyev would meet in Brussels on April 6.
