Ukraine recalls its ambassadors from Georgia and Morocco - Zelensky

KYIV. March 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he has signed decrees to recall Ukraine's ambassadors from Georgia and Morocco because "they are wasting time on the diplomatic front" in the countries where they currently serve.

"I have signed a decree [...] to recall the ambassador from Morocco. The ambassador to Georgia has also been recalled," Zelensky said in a video address on Wednesday evening, adding that "they are wasting time on the diplomatic front."

Zelensky said on March 1 that Ukraine was recalling its ambassador to Georgia for consultations over the position taken by the Georgian government, which refused to join anti-Russian sanctions and did not allow Georgian volunteers to go to Ukraine.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on March 14 called on Zelensky to return the Ukrainian ambassador to Tbilisi.
