Deutsche Welle added to foreign-agent media register - Russian Justice Ministry

MOSCOW. March 28 (Interfax) - The Russian Justice Ministry has dubbed the Deutsche Welle (DW) media network as a foreign-agent media outlet.

The foreign-agent media register on the Justice Ministry's website was updated on Monday.

The Russian Foreign Ministry demanded on February 4, 2022, that Deutsche Welle stop broadcasting and revoked accreditation of the company's Moscow staff in retaliation against the ban on RT DE broadcasting in Germany.

The ministry also said it would initiate the designation of DW as a foreign-agent media outlet.
