Total of 1,099 people evacuated through humanitarian corridors on March 27, there will be no corridors on March 28 - Ukrainian authorities

KYIV. March 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) - A total of 1,099 persons were evacuated through humanitarian corridors on March 27, deputy head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said early on Monday morning.

In particular, 586 persons left Mariupol by private cars, and 513 were evacuated from the Luhansk region, he said.

In turn, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said on Monday morning there would be no humanitarian corridors on March 28.

"Our intelligence has reported a possibility of provocations on the humanitarian corridor routes. So, we will not open humanitarian corridors today for security reasons," Vereshchuk said on Telegram.
