Rogozin speaks of possibility to bolster military component of Russia's satellite constellation

MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - The Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos is considering the possibility of strengthening the military component of Russia's in-orbit satellite constellation, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin told reporters.

"An objective such as the strengthening of the military component will certainly be considered. Naturally, we will now make a dual-purpose in-orbit constellation in order to enable all satellites at this difficult time to help the army and the fleet see and feel," Rogozin said.

Rogozin said on March 3 that all spacecraft to be built in Russia in the near future would be dual purpose.

"We will emphasize that all spacecraft that Russia creates in the near future will be dual purpose, given the conditions our country is in today," Rogozin said.
