Russia urges restraint, strict compliance with trilateral agreements over Karabakh - foreign ministry
MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - Russia's Foreign Ministry released a statement on Saturday, expressing its concern over the rise in tensions in Nagorno Karabakh.
"The instances, as recorded in the March 26, 2022 news bulletin of the Russian Defense Ministry, of armed penetration of the Russian peacekeeping zone and ceasefire violation run counter to the provisions of the November 9, 2022 Statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia," the statement said.
"We urge the sides to exercise restraint and ensure strict compliance with the current trilateral summit agreements," the ministry stated.
Russian peacekeepers are cooperating with both sides in taking necessary steps to de-escalate the regional situation, it said.
