Nearly half of Russians expect exodus of foreign companies won't affect quality of their lives - poll

MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - Nearly half of Russians - 49% - are sure that the exodus of a number of foreign companies from Russia would not affect the quality of their lives, while about one third (32%) expect it to worsen, as seen from the findings of a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation and shared with Interfax.

Some 7% of Russians expect a serious deterioration of their life quality, while 25% believe this deterioration to be not very significant.

The respondents 18 to 30 years of age have been relatively more pessimistic in this respect, with 44% of them expecting the quality of their lives to worsen.

On the other hand, 60% of those 60 years of age and older are sure that the exodus of a number of foreign companies would not affect the quality of their lives.

The nationwide poll of 1,500 respondents was conducted in 104 populated areas in 53 regions of Russia on March 11-13, 2022.
