Rossiya Airlines to fly to Armenia, Egypt, Israel, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan via transit hub in Sochi

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Aeroflot will launch direct scheduled flights from Sochi to Armenia, Egypt, Israel, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, the company said in a statement.

"The flight program is focused on transit passenger traffic and will be of interest to passengers following the route via Sochi from the base airports of the group's airlines - Moscow ("Sheremetyevo"), St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk," it said.

Flights from Sochi to 17 destinations will be carried out by Rossiya (part of the Aeroflot group) using Superjet 100 airplanes. Up to ten aircraft will be based at the hub for this purpose.
