Moratorium on inspections applies to absolutely all Russian cos - PM

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called for the moratorium on scheduled and unscheduled inspections of Russian companies to be observed rigorously amid the external pressure on business in the country.

"Amid external pressure, there has been a moratorium on scheduled and unscheduled inspections for two weeks now - since March 10 - until the end of the year, and it applies to absolutely all Russian companies, not just to small and medium-sized businesses, as before the pandemic," Mishustin said at Thursday's Cabinet meeting.

He said that "all the established requirements mist be followed rigorously and not be violated."

"Companies right now need to reconfigure many production processes and retain staff, and we are taking steps to support enterprises. There is no need to aggravate the situation and put their trust at risk," he said.

He said that "inspections, both scheduled and unscheduled, should be carried out in exceptional cases."

Mishustin asked Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko to put this issue under his personal control and report on how the moratorium on inspections is being observed.
