Total of 630 Ukrainian citizens arrived in Belarus in past day - Belarusian State Border Committee
MINSK. March 24 (Interfax) - As many as 630 Ukrainian citizens arrived in Belarus over the past day, the State Border Committee of Belarus said.
"From 6:00 a.m. on March 23 to 6:00 a.m. on March 24, 500 Ukrainian citizens crossed into Belarus. Another 120 arrived through Poland, nine through Lithuania, and one through Latvia," the State Border Committee said.
The Belarusian side is continuing to extend all necessary assistance to all people arriving from Ukraine, it said. In particular, the Belarusian Society of the Red Cross together with the Emergency Situations Ministry has set up mobile warming centers in the Gomel region's districts located near the border.
"Furthermore, foreigners can cross into Belarus from Ukraine without visas until April 15," it said.
All Belarusian border crossings are functioning as usual, the committee said.
