Russia to lift restrictions on crossing of land borders with Mongolia and Kazakhstan
MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - Russia will lift restrictions on citizens' crossing of the land borders with Kazakhstan and Mongolia on March 30, the headquarters for preventing the spread of Covid-19 told reporters.
"The operative headquarters for preventing the importation and the spread of the novel coronavirus infection has adopted a decision to lift restrictions on Kazakh citizens' entry into Russia and Russian citizens' exit into Kazakhstan via the land section of the Russian-Kazakh border, as well as Mongolian citizens' entry into Russia and Russian citizens' exit into Mongolia via the land section of the Russian-Mongolian state border at midnight Moscow time on March 30, 2022," it said.
Furthermore, restrictions on crossing of the land border with Mongolia into Russia will also be lifted for foreigners and noncitizens.
Russia resumed mutual air travel with Mongolia on December 1, 2021, and with Kazakhstan on September 21, 2020.
