Russian Prosecutor General's Office leaving International Association of Prosecutors

MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax) - Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has sent a letter to the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) Secretary General Han Moraal saying the Russian Prosecutor General's Office is leaving the association.

"It is with great disappointment under Article 6.1. of the IAP Charter that I announce the withdrawal of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation from the Association, and the impossibility of further interaction, and also severance of the Agreement on Cooperation on Operation of the Regional Office of the International Association of Prosecutors in Saint Petersburg, signed on October 20, 2021, based on its Article 11(3)," the Russian prosecutor general said in his letter.
