ICRC president to meet with head of Russian Red Cross Society on Wednesday

MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Peter Maurer will meet with Russian Red Cross Society Chairman Pavel Savchuk on Wednesday, the Russian Red Cross Society press service told Interfax.

"We plan to discuss the current humanitarian situation and our interaction with partners and compare notes to address the people's needs in the most efficient way," the press service quoted Savchuk as saying.

Peter Maurer will stay in Moscow until March 25, it said.
