Brazil launches program for integration of Ukrainian scientists - Ukraine's education ministry

KYIV. March 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Brazil has announced an integration program for Ukrainian scientists, the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science said.

"The government of Brazil's State of Parana, supported by the Araucaria Foundation or Scientific and Technological Development and the State Secretary for Science, Technology and Education (SETI) of Brazil, has announced that it will receive and integrate Ukrainian scientists," the press service for the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science said in a statement.

The program's main objective is to give scientists from Ukrainian universities the opportunities to carry on with their research at universities in the State of Parana for up to two years, it said.

It is expected that the program will involve 50 scientists with PhD degrees who are working or once worked on research projects at universities in Ukraine. They will be given an opportunity to teach and attend further training courses at universities in Parana, the Ukrainian ministry said.
