UK Ministry of Defense lodges protest with Russian military attaché over situation in Ukraine

LONDON. March 21 (Interfax) - UK Second Permanent Undersecretary of Defense Laurence Lee on Monday lodged a protest with Russian Defense Attaché Col. Maxim Yelovik in relation to the special operation being conducted by Russia in Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defense said.

"The Russian defense attaché has been summoned to the [UK] Ministry of Defense for a second time," the Ministry of Defense said on Twitter.

London "repeated the UK's demand for the Russian Federation to withdraw its forces [from Ukraine] immediately," it said.
