Roszdravnadzor admits price hikes for drugs not included in vital drugs list

MOSCOW. March 21(Interfax) - Prices for drugs in that segment which is not part of the vital drug list have now increased, Dmitry Parkhomenko, deputy head of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), said.

"As for prices, we see increases, in particular, in the segment of drugs that are currently not regulated. These are drugs not included in the list of vital drugs," Parkhomenko said at a roundtable meeting in the State Duma entitled National System of Drug Security in Russia. Legislative Aspects.

"As to the vital drug list, all fluctuations, both increases on some items and decrease in various regions on some items, are regulated, and all that is within the permitted corridor of the manufacturer's maximal selling price and the amount of relevant regional margins," he said.

Parkhomenko earlier said prices on drugs had increased on average by two percent in Russia in the period from the end of February to the middle of March.
