Vinnytsia region sends humanitarian aid to Kyiv

KYIV. March 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Eleven carriages with food, medications and hygiene products have arrived in Kyiv from the Vinnytsia region, according to Iryna Borzova, a member of the pro-presidential Servant of the People faction and the head of the parliamentary committee on youth affairs and sports.

"Kyiv has received more than 700 tonnes of humanitarian aid. We are adjusting the needs together with the local military administration. Eleven carriages have already arrived in Kyiv from the Vinnytsia region," the Verkhovna Rada website quoted Borzova as saying on Monday.

Last week, the Vinnytsia region sent 1,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to other Ukrainian cities, she said. Over 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid were sent to Kharkiv.
