Curfew in Kyiv to last 1.5 days again

KYIV. March 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The curfew in Kyiv and the Kyiv region will last from 8:00 p.m. local time on Monday to 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said.

"The curfew in Kyiv and the region will be enforced again. It will begin at 8:00 p.m. today and will last until 7:00 a.m. on March 23, that is, until the day after tomorrow," Klitschko said in his video address on Monday.

Shops, pharmacies, gas stations and other establishments will not be working on Tuesday, he said. "I am asking everyone to say at home or in shelters during emergency alerts. People can move around the city on transport with special passes, following the rules of martial law," Klitschko said.

The previous curfew lasting for 1.5 days was imposed in Kyiv from the evening of March 15 to the early morning of March 17. Mayor Klitschko attributed that to "a difficult and dangerous moment."
