Zelensky signs law prolonging martial law

KYIV. March 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law prolonging martial law in the country, the Verkhovna Rada press service said.

"The president of Ukraine as of March 20, 2022 signed a law on the approval of the decree of the president of Ukraine On the Prolongation of Martial Law in Ukraine," the report said.

On March 15, the Verkhovna Rada legislatively approved a presidential decree prolonging martial law in Ukraine from 05:30 a.m. on March 26 for another 30 days, until April 25.

Martial law has been in place in Ukraine since February 24.
