Anton Usov appointed managing partner at KPMG in Russia, Oleg Goschansky resigns as CEO of one of firm's legal entities

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Anton Usov, head of KPMG's international practice, has been appointed the managing partner of the audit company in Russia, a KPMG representative told Interfax.

Oleg Goschansky has resigned as CEO of one of the Russian legal entities of the company, KPMG Taxes and Consulting LLC, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. A KPMG representative confirmed the information.

On March 16, Alevtina Borisova was appointed CEO of KPMG Taxes and Consulting, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. She also heads the KPMG Charitable Foundation for Support of Humanitarian and Social Programs, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

Personnel changes in the company took place a week-and-a-half after KPMG International announced its decision to withdraw the Russian practice from the international network. Meantime, the Russian office of the company stated that the business would be preserved in full.

"As we have said before, we are keeping the business in Russia despite leaving the international network. Obviously, this process entails considerable operational work in the Russian firm and requires much management focus. It is for these reasons that we have the position of managing partner in Russia, which was occupied by Anton Usov, and the head of one of the legal entities has also changed. Oleg Goschansky is now focusing on the reorganization of business in the region of Central Asia and the Caucasus," a KPMG representative told Interfax.
