Over 4,000 people evacuated from Sumy region on Friday - region's state administration head

KYIV. March 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) - More than 4,000 people were evacuated from Ukraine's Sumy region through a humanitarian corridor on Friday, head of the region's state administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi said.

"As of 3:00 p.m. local time [4:00 p.m. Moscow time], 2,288 people on vehicles and 1,723 people on buses left the Sumy region via the humanitarian corridor," Zhyvytskyi said on Telegram.

According to Zhyvytskyi, 1,656 people on 414 vehicles and 1,480 people on 41 buses left the city of Sumy, 50 people on four buses left Lebedyn, 270 people on 55 vehicles and 130 people on five buses lft Konotop, six people on two vehicles and 35 people on two buses left Velyka Pysarivka, 216 people on 54 vehicles and 30 people on one bus left Trostianets, and 140 people on 35 vehicles left Krasnopolye.
