Drug distributors, manufacturers see no problems with their production, supply - Roszdravnadzor head

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Distributors and manufacturers of medications see no problems with production and supply, Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) head Alla Samoilova said.

"We have held a meeting with distributors, manufacturers, and practically all distributors and manufactures of domestic medications confirmed to us that they currently do not see any problems with production and supply of medications," Samoilova said on Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television on Friday.

According to her, there are some situations related to a decrease of the number of some medications in pharmacies, but manufacturers have these medications and they will reach retail chains soon.

"We currently see no special concerns about the sufficient availability of medications in chains in general. There is some decrease in pharmacies today, but distributors and manufacturers have enough of these medications, which are not available in pharmacies, and these medications will reach pharmacy chains in the near future," Samoilova said.
