No active Russia-U.S. talks, just pinpoint contacts addressing particular problems - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - There are no active talks between Russia and the United States at this point, just pinpoint contacts, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"For any, any active negotiating process... as you can see, there is naturally none. We have pinpoint contacts addressing particular problems, not even problematic issues, problems. There are pinpoint contacts," Zakharova said on the Soloviev Telegram channel.

In her words, Russia had been trying to hold talks with the United States until February 24, but the United States refused.
