Ukrainian rep: Western media reports on Moscow-Kyiv draft treaty represent only Russia's demands
KYIV. March 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The information on a draft treaty between Ukraine and Russia that has been published in The Financial Times represents only Russia's demands, Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said.
"Briefly. FT published a draft, which represents the requesting position of the Russian side. Nothing more. The Ukrainian side has its own positions. The only thing we confirm at this stage is a ceasefire, withdrawal of Russian troops and security guarantees from a number of countries," Podolyak said on Twitter.
FT earlier published an article about a Ukraine-Russia draft joint plan on ending fighting in Ukraine, which envisions Ukraine's neutral status and a reduction of the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
