Losses incurred by Ukraine since Feb 24 top $500 bln - PM Shmyhal

KYIV. March 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The direct non-recurrent losses incurred by Ukraine since February 24 exceed $500 billion, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"A respective group has been set up and is working in our government to assess economic losses. Tentative estimates indicate that direct non-recurrent loses incurred by Ukraine exceed $500 billion to date. In fact, these are the funds we will need to rebuild our country. So that Ukraine recovers and be as it was," Shmyhal said in a statement to the press jointly with the prime ministers of Poland, Czechia and Slovenia early on Wednesday morning.
