DPR reports evacuation of over 300 people from Mariupol over past day

DONETSK. March 16 (Interfax) - A total of 312 people, including almost 100 children, have been evacuated from Mariupol in the past 24 hours, the territorial defense headquarters of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said.

"Over the past day, between 8 a.m. on March 15 and 8 a.m. on March 16, there were 312 people, including 88 children, evacuated from Mariupol and its suburbs to Bezmenne in the Novoazovsk district," the headquarters said on Wednesday.

As many as 1,317 people have been evacuated from blocked Mariupol between March 5 and 16.
