About 60 refugees from Mariupol transported to Russian border by bus

ROSTOV. March 16 (Interfax) - The first two buses carrying 59 refugees from Mariupol have arrived at the Veselo-Voznesenka checkpoint on the Russian border in the Rostov region.

The Emergency Situations Ministry has deployed a field kitchen near the checkpoint to provide the refugees with hot food before they go to temporary accommodation centers.

The Russian Defense Ministry said earlier that four convoys consisting of 200 buses had been formed to evacuate Mariupol residents, and 50 buses were already in the city. All of Mariupol residents who expressed the wish to evacuate will be transported to comfortable temporary accommodation centers.
