Russia imposes personal sanctions on Canadian PM, foreign, defense ministers, MPs

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Russia is imposing personal sanctions on top Canadian officials and lawmakers, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Foreign Minister Melanie Joly and Defense Minister Anita Anand have been added to the blacklist of individuals banned from visiting Russia starting on March 15, a statement on the ministry's website said. Most members of the House of Commons of the Canadian parliament were sanctioned as well.

The statement provides a complete list of 313 Canadian citizens sanctioned by Russia.
