Canada adds another 15 persons, including Reshetnikov, Grigorenko, Mizintsev, Konashenkov, to sanctions list - authorities
WASHINGTON. March 15 (Interfax) - The Canadian authorities said on Tuesday they are imposing sanctions on 15 Russian officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov and Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov.
"The Honorable Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that Canada is imposing new sanctions. [...] These new measures impose restrictions on 15 Russian officials," the Canadian government said in a press release.
The new restrictions apply to head of the Russian National Defense Control Center Mikhail Mizintsev, Russian Navy Commander Adm. Nikolai Yevmenov, his deputy, Vice-Adm. Vladimir Kasatonov, Black Sea Fleet Commander Adm. Igor Osipov, Aerospace Forces Commander Sergei Surovikin, and Air Force Commander, Aerospace Forces Deputy Commander Sergei Dronov.
Black Sea Fleet First Deputy Commander Sergei Pinchuk and Federal Guard Service (FSO) Director Dmitry Kochnev are also under sanctions.
