Israeli, Ukrainian FMs discuss humanitarian aid

JERUSALEM. March 15 (Interfax) - Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said on Tuesday he had a telephone call with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, during which the two discussed the delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, among other things.

"I just finished a long and positive conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The Minister thanked Israel for our mediation efforts and our position on the matter of sanctions," Lapid wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

Lapid said he updated Kuleba on the humanitarian aid that Israel has already sent to Ukraine. He said Kuleba "welcomed our policy for absorbing refugees."

As reported earlier, Israel, along with a number of other countries, expressed its willingness to mediate in settling the crisis in Ukraine, where Russia is conducting a special military operation.
