Twenty-six humanitarian corridors set up, about 150,000 evacuated amid dramatic situation in Ukraine - President's Office deputy head

KYIV. March 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Twenty-six humanitarian corridors have been organized in Ukraine that made it possible to evacuate about 150,000 since February 24, Deputy Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.

"There are humanitarian corridors in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhya regions. Over the entire period, we have used 26 humanitarian corridors. A lot of people, precisely about 150,000, have been evacuated by buses in the first place through them," Tymoshenko said during a telethon on Monday evening.

As for the situation in Mariupol, Tymoshenko said that a few hours ago the Ukrainian side managed to ensure the departure of few people from the city in their own cars. "Few managed to leave, they are being received in the Zaporizhzhya region," he said.
