Mariupol City Council: 160 private vehicles depart towards Zaporizhzhya via 'green corridor'

KYIV. March 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Over 160 private vehicles have departed from Mariupol via the previously approved humanitarian corridor as of 1 p.m. on Monday, they have already passed Berdiansk and are heading towards Zaporizhzhya, the Mariupol City Council said.

"Over 160 private cars have managed to depart from Mariupol via the route to the city of Berdiansk by 1 p.m. Mariupol residents were driving along the route of the humanitarian corridor agreed in advance from Mariupol via the exit towards the village of Melekine, [past] the village of Portovske, the village of Manhush, Berdiansk, Tokmak [to] Zaporizhzhya," the city council said on its Telegram channel.

According to the Telegram channel, Mariupol residents have already driven past Berdiansk and are continuing to drive in Zaporizhzhya's direction, it said.

"There is also confirmation that the temporary ceasefire is currently being observed along the established humanitarian corridor," it said.
