JCPOA talks continuing normally, no stalling - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - The talks on reinstating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) are continuing normally, and there is no stalling, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website on Monday.

"The work on certain aspects of a future agreement to reinstate the nuclear deal is ongoing. The text is being amended to address the outstanding issues between the United States and Iran," the ministry said.

"A number of negotiating parties have yet to make political decisions on the approval of the final text of the agreement. The negotiations are continuing normally, and there is no stalling," it said.

The ministry noted that the Vienna talks on the JCPOA reinstatement were paused temporarily on March 11 and the delegations returned to the respective countries for consultations.

"Russia believes that the path to an effective resumption of full-scale JCPOA implementation goes through the restoration of balance between the nuclear and economic aspects of the deal, which equally meet the interests of all parties," the ministry said.
