Totally 3,687 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities disabled since special operation began - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - As many as 3,687 Ukrainian military facilities have been defeated since the military operation began on February 24, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Totally, 3,687 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities have been disabled since the operation began," Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.

"A total of 99 airplanes, 128 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,194 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 121 multiple-launch rocket systems, 443 field artillery and mortar systems, and 991 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed," Konashenkov said.

According to Konashenkov, Russian forces have downed another one Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-24 plane and two Ukrainian drones.

Cumulatively, 99 military aircraft and 128 drones of the Ukrainian army have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation, he said.

Meanwhile, the forces of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) have blocked the eastern and southern parts of Ukrainian's Severodonetsk, Konashenkov said.

"In Severodonetsk, the troops of the Luhansk People's Republic have blocked the eastern and southern parts of town," he said.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on March 12 that the LPR forces had reached the outskirts of Severodonetsk.

Severodonetsk is a town with more than 100,000 population, an administrative center in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine.
