Azerbaijan to boost gas exports to Europe to 9.1. bcm in 2022 - energy minister

BAKU. March 12 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan will export 9.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to Europe in 2022, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.

On December 31, 2020, Azerbaijan began shipping gas to Europe via the TAP gas pipeline. Azerbaijan's gas exports to Europe (Italy, Greece and Bulgaria) totaled 8.2 bcm in 2021.

"In 2022, our gas exports to Turkey will stand at 8.2 bcm, and at 9.1 bcm to Europe [a 11% rise year-on-year]," Shahbazov said on the sidelines of the diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkey.
