Setback in U.S.-Russia relations is Washington's fault, trust at all-time low - Ryabkov

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The current relations between Russia and the United States can hardly be described as trustful, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"What trust are we talking about if we see our relations move from bad to worse, courtesy of the successive U.S. administrations," Ryabkov said on the Big Game program on Channel One on Saturday.

The U.S. sanctions on Russia were unprecedented and constituted "an unparalleled attempt at dealing a major blow to various sectors of the Russian economy," he said.

"What can we talk about now, what trust? We are thrown back in our relations far behind, the blame for this lies entirely with the American side and its successive administrations," Ryabkov said.
