Biden's talk of danger of WWIII attempt to play on nerves - Ryabkov
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - United States President Joe Biden talking about the danger of a Third World War is an attempt to play on the nerves, Russia is not escalating the situation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
"We are not taking any steps, verbal, in the form of statements, whatever, which could be regarded as an escalation, there is none of this," Ryabkov said on the Big Game program on Channel One on Saturday.
"Meanwhile, the U.S. top official is openly talking about the danger of a Third World War. This is an attempt to play on the nerves, an attempt to impose their own agenda on international community, to us the destructive goals of this line are evident," he said.
On Ukraine, there was no sign of "U.S. readiness to continue the dialogue," Ryabkov said.
