Gazprom continues to deliver gas for Ukraine transit as usual, Saturday request high again

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian transit corridor on Saturday remains loaded at maximum as per the volumes stipulated by a long-term contract (40 billion cubic meters per year, or 109 million per day).

European buyers requested more gas from Gazprom after a surge in prices in the wake of new sanctions imposed on Russia. At the moment TTF gas costs $1,468 per 1,000 cubic meters.

"Gazprom is shipping gas through Ukraine as usual, in accordance with European requests: 109.5 million cubic meters for March 12," the company's spokesperson Sergei Kupriyanov told reporters.

According to data from Ukraine's Transmission System Operator, the March 12 nomination is for 109.4 million cubic meters, same as yesterday.
