LDPR leader Zhirinovsky planning to attend next State Duma session - speaker
MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Russia's Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky is ready to attend the next session of the State Duma, Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said.
"It's a pity Vladimir Volfovich [Zhirinovsky] is not here today. By the way, he is planning to attend the next session; getting ready," Volodin said at the Duma session on Friday.
Volodin said earlier that the next session of the State Duma could take place on March 18 in order to adopt the third package of the government's measures to support business and citizens amid sanctions. If this extraordinary session does not take place, the State Duma is expected to meet on March 22.
