Putin-Lukashenko meeting concludes after 5 hours

MINSK. March 11 (Interfax) - The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko in Moscow on Friday continued for more than five hours, the latter's press service said on Telegram.

"The meeting between Lukashenko and Putin has concluded. The conversation lasted over five hours," the statement said.

A source said that Lukashenko was on the way to the airport.

Earlier today it was reported that the pair took a break when the Russian president took an international call in the presence of his Belarusian counterpart. The talks then resumed in the format of a business lunch, following by tete-a-tete in Putin's office.

It was also reported that there would be no press statement after the meeting.
