Over 70% of Russians view events related to special operation in Ukraine as the most important developments of the previous week - poll

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Nearly three-quarters of Russians, or 74%, believe that the events related to the special military operation in Ukraine are the most important developments of the previous week, the Public Opinion Foundation said in a statement seen by Interfax on Friday.

The recent Western sanctions on Russia and fluctuations of the ruble exchange rate were the first runners-up mentioned by 4% of respondents.

One percent of respondents were interested in Covid-19 reports, and 19% were undecided about the most significant event of the week, the pollster said.

The Public Opinion Foundation polled 1,500 respondents in 53 constituent territories on March 4-6.
